COVID-19 Updates

  • 5/8/2020

Rest assured, we have implemented plans to reduce exposures within our office for our patients, their family members and our employees. Here are some measures we have taken so that you can feel comfortable in our office.

    • In Georgetown, we have separated the office into a well care side and a sick care side with separate entrance and exit from the office. In Kingstree, well and sick patients are being seen on separate sides of the office. Additional sanitizing practices are being implemented in exam rooms and common areas of the office.
    • We ask that all patients presenting to the office for a well visit or a sick visit wait in their cars and give us a call to let us know you have arrived. We will notify parents when their room is available, and children will be taken directly to their exam room.
    • We are now offering telemedicine visits. Please call our office if you need to be seen and we will discuss your options.
    • Some visits may be available to be performed safely outside. Please call our office if you need to be seen and we will discuss your options.
    • All patients will be asked about possible COVID-19 exposure in advance of appointment.  Please let us know about any positive exposures as well as any pending testing for family or close contacts.
    • We are asking parents/caregivers to bring their child to their appointment with as few additional people as possible. Please leave other family members at home if possible.

Please consider utilizing our patient portal for NON-URGENT concerns such as medication refill requests or non-urgent patient care questions. You can access and register at this link  https://13163.portal.athenahealth.com/ or by clicking the link in the top right corner of our website home page at https://riverside-peds.com/.  Please contact our office if you are having problems with registration.

Please do not delay your child's well child appointment/physical or any immunizations.  We are concerned about health problems that will occur for your child and our community if this occurs.  We are in this together - thank you in advance to our amazing families for working with us to provide the best of care to the kids in our wonderful community!
