Kaitlin grew up in California, and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. After graduation, Kaitlin became a Peace Corps volunteer and worked with an organization in Romania that served children with medical complexity. This experience changed her life and served as a driving force for Kaitlin to pursue a career in pediatrics. She moved to South Carolina in 2013, and obtained both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Kaitlin is a board certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Prior to becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Kaitlin worked with children with special needs for multiple years, most recently as a Registered Nurse at a small organization in Charleston catering exclusively to children with severe to profound multiple, complex, special needs.

Kaitlin is passionate about providing family-centered comprehensive care to her community and creating partnerships with families in raising healthy, happy children. Her medical interests include: condition management for children with special healthcare needs, allergy management, and breastfeeding and nutrition.

In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys chasing around her twin toddlers, Sam and Oliver, and spending time with her husband, Paul, their three dogs, and bird, Wendel.
